"By design” means devising and following a plan. That sounds simple enough. But in the food industry, what makes for a great design, and what can processors and equipment manufacturers gain from it? “Designing for Greatness” means intentionally incorporating sanitation, people safety, and serviceability into the equipment. Developing this concept within facilities will not only reduce food safety risks, but will also lead to increased production efficiency, reduced downtime, and stronger company culture.
